What a way to skip a fantastic weekend in Casper… With Nicfest and so many other great events going on in the hometown this weekend I did feel a slight tinge of guilt heading down to Denver to cover Strange Famous Fest this past weekend… alas I’ve been a huge Sage Francis and Strange Famous fan since 2001’s ‘Makeshift Patriot’ left an indelible perspective on an evolving and chaotic mind. A real dream to cover this one and super happy how things lined up!

Now with the finger flappin’ outta the way onto the Fest! Strange Famous Fest was the first installment of we’re hoping is a long pattern of similar shows and more rad from Strange Famous in the region. The Day Started off with DJ Zole entertaining the people as they showed up. Seez Mics was first on the mic bringin’ some classic Epic Beard Men moments.

Early Adopted, Mopes, Cas One, Jivin Scientists, jesse the Tree, BlackLiq, Sleep of Oldominion, Metermaids, Wheelchair Sports Camp all took the stage before the great Sage Francis. I think the point of this whole operation is that I’m better at describing things with photos than with words, but the day couldn’t have gone better unless I would have better rationed memory cards and still been ready to take some photos when Slug from Atmosphere grabbed the mic, some things are better off left magic…
Here’s an image from each performer and well, all 400 images from the rest of the day! Big Day broken into galleries by artist! Lemme know how we should handle these posts!?
