The second day of the Beartrap Summer Festival brought welcomed clearer skies and another fantastic list of musical acts to the meadow. A great addition to the weekend the past few years has been Lander Valley Fire Dept. Pipe Band. A great introduction back to the music for all the campers waking up around the area.
With the rest of the day bringing Daniel Kosel, The Wendy Woo Band, Levee Town, all headlined by the amazing Samantha Fish and Jesse Dayton we were in for a treat to finish the weekend.
Beartrap Summer Music Festival holds a place near and dear to my heart, a hill I’ve spent my whole life wandering and exploring, a meadow that holds magical memories for the whole town, the passion that goes into putting it all together. From the artisans and food trucks to Tom and everyone at Townsquare the weekend is a lot of work in a place where everyone wants to just sit in a hammock and relax, the machine behind the fest has sure gotten more complex but it’s time this festival gets it’s time in the sun, long live Beartrap if you ask me!
