This summer at The Lincoln and all around WYO has already brought some incredible sights and sounds to the great people of our state half way through June. Less than two weeks after hosting Wiz Khalifa The Lincoln was back with another incredible weekday show with Blind Melon in town!

Tuesday at The Lincoln was the perfect break from CNFR hustle in Casper to catch some of the greatest hits of the early 2000s. The show was opened up by Fort Collins’ ‘Joe Suburb’ a great rock band that had some really fun covers mixed into an energetic set of originals that charged up the crowd beautifully.

Something we’re a big fan of is the single opener, two band, incredibly focused show that was put on Tuesday night. Straight after Joe Suburb was over we went straight into waiting for the main event. 40 minutes with a great opener is more than enough to get people in position and excited for the show they’re about to see. Dual headliners, two talented openers, sure… 5 band shows that start at 7 or 8… for the birds with ADHD that graduated after 2020 or something.

Not specifically the crowd that was in attendance on Tuesday at The Lincoln so seeing the show get right into the meat and potatoes really let the crowd dig in and enjoy what they were there for! BLIND MELON! And they sure didn’t disappoint! The three original members Rogers Stevens, Christopher Thorn, and drummer Glen Graham, are joined by longtime vocalist Travis Warren and bassist for the last decade Nathan Towne for an incredibly powerful set capturing the essence of original vocalist Shannon Hoon and keeping it in a bottle with them everywhere they go. The reverence for the original sound, and the driving force to create new music are both present in a Blind Melon show and it’s an energy we didn’t want to leave.

No doubt these dudes were rockstars of the highest caliber, but the vibe was real special Tuesday at The Lincoln, enjoy the rest of the photos from the show!
