Adventure time to CO for Punk Rock Royalty H2O and The Bouncing Souls

Legendary 'East Coast Fuck You' Tour comes back through the mountains, we caught it the way only a super fan can.

Something I hope you all might have caught on to by now is a punk rock eccentricity to Wyoming Out Loud’s coverage… Our roots in following our friends’ garage bands to grungy dive bar shows is something we’ll NEVER let go of. But seeing how far we’ve come and how far Punk Rock has come with the retirement of some greats and some others having the best, loudest shows of their careers helps keep perspective. Punk rock is thriving world wide and there’s not one thing on the planet that could STOKE US MORE than to see the return of the tour that ignited it all for so many Bouncing Souls and H2O fans!

The tour stopped in to Denver, CO and was opened up by a RAD 4 piece out of Orange County, CA ‘The Jack Knives’ They set the tempo and got the crowds attention with anthems and ballads alike in some tracks that are bound to be classics. Vibe was really good until The Adolescents came up with their mumble punk… comedy, we’re getting there!

Joining H2O and The Bouncing Souls for some select dates on the tour was another band that needs no introduction to Wyoming Out Loud, The Adolescents, I hope will forgive the mumble punk joke and allow some freedom of candor in our appreciation for how incredible it is to see one of Orange County’s OGs take the stage. Tony Cadena and his band of misfits have made GENERATIONS of Punks.

New York HC veterans and ExCxFxU alumni H2O brought forth an energy that only comes from a lifetime in the gig and the rejuvenation of watching your son DESTROY the drums for your fastest tracks. Seeing this incredible collection of Punk Rock coalesce was enough to keep local punks stage diving and crowd surfing all night. One of the demands of this tour is NO BARRIERS! The fans and the bands made immense connections and chaos was innate to the environment.

New Jersey legends The Bouncing Souls took over the stage, the room, and the hearts of all the fine punks in attendance. From one True Believer to at least 1,000 more, this show was incredibly special to Wyoming Out Loud. My personal favorite band since I was 12 years old, they’ve been irreplaceable in showing me the way of the stoke, teaching me learning the hard way is the fun way, and that we’re all better together. One of Punk Rock’s eternal flames The Bouncing Souls have kept the classic sound and heartfelt anthems going since 1989. Making Colorado, Denver, The Ogden… Their New Jersey whenever they stop by.

We’ve thrown it all away in that pit a whole bunch of times, it felt REAL GOOD to create something this time, and I even found my beanie back at the end of the show, lost it the first set…
