It really felt like the start to a great summer season in Casper when Funky Junk took over David Street Station Saturday. There were lots of options for what to do after the spring market music festival got over at 5. Ladies of Metal happening at Oil City Beer Co, Patton Oswalt performing at The Rialto, and Kolby Cooper playing at The Gaslight Social all on a Saturday night! Ladies of Metal coverage incoming, and we’ll sure figure out how to cover some comedy if we keep getting greats like Patton and Bobcat Goldthwait coming through, it just might take turning Wyoming Out Loud into a bit more than a rag tag one man band type of operation.

Kolby Cooper brought the whole tour bus to The Gaslight Social for the Love You, Goodnight tour, he’s been making his rounds through North Carolina, Texas, and Oklahoma on the way up to WYO. Making it up to the mountains for some of the sweetest, most intimate shows of the tour brought us all together Saturday night for one heck of a get down!

Saturday night at Gaslight was opened up by Estin & The 86’d with a ROCKIN’ start. I didn’t expect breakdowns at a Kolby Cooper show but there was certainly some edge and intense musicality going on, on stage that got everybody hooked into the show right off the bat!

Kolby Cooper might not be a household name around the country for everyone yet, but he certainly had a LOT of fans in attendance singing every word and telling me that they’d been fans from the very beginning. There’s a TON of support for Kolby out there right now and you can tell why. He’s an honest to goodness good guy, with a great voice and a bunch of great stories to share. Don’t let the road ruin your innocence, I think everyone sees how incredible this all can be.

Thanks for partyin’ Caspertown! Enjoy the rest of the photos!
