Whey Jennings gets The Lincoln moving on a Tuesday night

Wyoming's wandering troubadour Shawn Hess opened the show for a RAD evening in Cheyenne!

Cheyenne is alight with honky tonk for Cheyenne Frontier Days so we had to go down and check on our favorite spot in the Capital City. We’re starting to figure out the nuances of Wyoming and why it is the way it is the more we travel the long roads between it’s great communities. Cheyenne may only have 6000 more people than Caspertown, but it feels more like a city with the expanse and the influx of folks from Colorado when things are happening down there. Always fresh faces and more hustle and bustle, it’s great, but Caspertown’s tight nit community is really something to marvel at back home.

A familiar face to many of the great small towns and Wyoming faithful opened up the show. One of the most entertaining dudes we’ve got roaming Ol’ WYO, Shawn Hess brought a fantastic set of some songs he wrote, and some he didn’t. Some real life stories, and some he probably made up, probably not. We all fell asleep to a DVD in our PS2s right?

Tuesday night brought Whey Jennings, grandson of Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter, to The Lincoln’s stage. Carrying on the family legacy and bringing deep, gritty, authentic sound Whey has a lot of fun to the stage.

There isn’t always enough room to get some dancing in on The Lincolns floor so a Tuesday night show allowed enough room for some boot scootin’! As always an incredible place to take in a show, dang those ceilings are HIGH!

Enjoy the rest of the photos from the show!
