The return of REPENT brings Hemlock to Caspertown

A HEAVY night at Oil City Beer Co brought out the finest in our local metal scene.

\\\\ Event Re-Cap

After far too long of a hiatus Casper’s heavy hitters the band, REPENT is back! See what I did there? If not they’re back with a now shorter moniker THE BAND REPENT is now just REPENT and all of that young energetic killer metal is there. Dom is back on drums and Jimi James takes over on rhythm guitar bringing the lineup some great energy.

The show was opened up by some GREAT Wyoming metal bands. Sadly I missed Ghost of a Gunslinger, some friends for LONG LONG TIME, We’ll catch the next one, it’s almost a promise.

Crowns May Fall brought their powerful energy to the stage from little Ol’ Douglas with raw intention. They were there to rock Oil City Beer Co. as hard as possible and mission accomplished, the crowd was in it the whole night for this one.

REPENT took the stage and ,well, even having high hopes and knowing what I was getting myself into the chaos took over and I think that’s evident in all of the images throughout the night. When you chose black and white sometimes it’s creative, sometimes it’s an aggregation of chaos that just makes B&W the obvious more simple decision. Color, motion, expression, light and all that, There’s something really artsy to say here, I’m not the one for that.

A lively crowd at a rock concert, raising their arms and showing excitement, with a focus on the band performing on stage in a black and white setting.

HEMLOCK needs no introduction around these parts, these guys are clinically good at what they do. The amount of shows they play is a testament to the professionalism behind the scenes of what appears to be an act of chaos on stage. Don’t miss a HEMLOCK show when they come through, some of the most fun shows I’ve had the pleasure of being to with and without a camera.
