Some bands supersede their locales and strike a chord with the internet as a whole and break the chains of time, becoming immortal in the lore of the human condition… very rarely one of those bands comes and plays a small town in Wyoming. When that happens, Wyoming Out Loud tends to over do it. Our last camera never fully recovered from GWAR’s stop in Casper a couple years ago, always wearing it’s red stain in the white of it’s buttons. So sadly it’s taken a month to get through the absolute chaos of a show that ensued when Green Jell0 came to Oil City Beer Co. June 3rd.
The Pool Noodle Express pulled into town with massively energetic young band ‘From This Day Forward’ with local support from our friends in System Restore. It was a recipe for a RADICAL Tuesday that didn’t stop infusing energy into the crowd until the final pool noodle fell.
When Green Jell0 takes the stage, and the whole room over with pool noodles and inflatable nonsense there’s a noticeable change in tone. The music blends into an experience, led by legendary front man Bill Manspeaker, everything is turned up to 11 or beyond. Pool noodles distributed unevenly through the crowd and all over the floor, flying unicorn floaties, pool noodle beer bongs, it’s the most fun we’ve had… in a LONG time.
Certainly made an impression on the community around here, the crowd was all smiles and fully participating, never miss a Green Jell0 show, that’s the best advice we can give.
